CREATIVE ASSIGNMENT 2
For this assignment the concept was open to creating a surreal image. Here are my solutions to the project.
For my first surreal photo I had already figured out what type of style I wanted to create within the artwork. A mixture of pop vibes, colors, and patterns. I originally started with a different model and composition, but was not feeling that "aaa-h-a" moment. I then decided to look through my old camera photos for something I might enjoy centering a composition from. I found a photo I had taken of a puffer fish. Using bubblegum and Photoshop brushes as my inspiration, I created this surreal scene of a girl blowing out water with the puffer fish inside. I would like to state more about how this came into my head, but frankly I still have no idea how. I believe it was just how my mind was thinking with little sleep.
My second surreal artwork is a scene I had always seen other artist create and something I had always wanted to try myself. The idea of a city or civilization in a particular location. I found a photograph I took with my camera when I went to New York this summer. I then proceeded to cut out the photograph by distances. I then used Photoshop brushes and paint effects to create the surreal mystical-like sky. I wanted to capture a dreamy pleasant surreal landscape, especially when I had been stuck in the Pao basement for so long.
